On Saturday morning I joined the Cameraland team and a whole bunch of incredibly talented people on the Red City Bus tour sponsored by Cape Town. What a joy, riding on an open bus on the perfect summers morning through beautiful Cape Town. Cameraland arranged this event for their loyal Canon customers and influencers. I have always used Canon and I love them. We all met at the Cameraland store (opposite the Red City Bust) where I met some incredibly inspirational people who were joining the adventure.
As the quote says – it’s not about the destination it’s about the journey. The scenery spotted from the rooftop of the bus was beautiful.
Our first stop was at Groot Constantia – the tree-lined avenues and vineyards with azure blue backgrounds were the perfect first stop. Abbey from One stiletto at a time, Megan from Authentic Girl and Nina from Nina Zimolong headed for the trees.
We hopped back onto the bus and head towards Hout Bay Harbour. The only time I have been there was when I ran Bay to Bay in January. I was too nervous for the run ahead that I did not take it all in. There is a beautiful stretch of beach with the harbour to the right-hand side with bobbing fishing vessels and the local celebrity the seal (who is a real model – don’t believe me? Look at the photograph :))
I asked Nina to snap a few pics of me on the beach (My worst!!) hehe but she is awesome.
We could have spent hours at Hout Bay on such a beautiful day but we hopped back onto the bus and headed for our last stop – Camps Bay. When we arrived the beach was abuzz with locals and tourist taking in the beautiful day. We unfortunately did not have a lot of time at Camps Bay before heading back to Cameraland so I snapped a few pics and we headed off back to Cameraland.
I left our little adventure feeling inspired. There is something about being with like minded people who love what you love. Thank you to Canon and Cameraland for a wonderful morning filled with excitement and beauty.
