The last few photos have had a bit of a theme (it wasn’t intentional yet I have decided to continue it for the week) – if you not sure what i am talking about – the them is Food. Today I made mushroom risotto for dinner – yummy. Even though winter can be cold and depressing its really nice to change the kind of food you eat. I am excited to make things like stews, soup and more types of comfort food. I used Shiitake Mushrooms for this risotto – it was yummy 🙂...

Wedding – Rock the Frock

My friend from my last blog post (click here to see it) asked me to do a trash the dress. She had a beautiful dress that was so simple yet made her look incredible. I couldnt wait to do this shoot. We went to Delta Park where we paddled in the rivers, lay in the long grass, climbed the pilons to name a few. It is always amusing watching people stare at these kind of things – I suppose you not expecting to see a beautiful girl in her wedding dress walking in the park when you take your dogs for a walk. Some days you just don’t feel like cooking – especially on a Friday night. We have an amazing machine called a Thermomix – it cooks chops stirs – everything. Needless to say it makes preparing food a lot easier and quicker – I absolutely LOVE this machine. Go to Lauren Kim Photography to see more of my work....

Event – Neighbour Goods Market | Braamfontein

South Africa is a diverse and amazing country – full of incredible cities and small towns. Johannesburg in my opinion is not given enough credit for the amazing things you can do in the vibrant city. If you are in the city on a Saturday morning head down to Juta Street in town to the Neighbour Goods Market. A market full of beautiful mouth watering food produce. (http://www.neighbourgoodsmarket.co.za) This market is good for your soul – you will leave feeling very full, happy and relaxed. Do yourself a favour and head down to this market – you wont be sorry....

Couple – Richard and Bridget | Parkhurst

This last weekend, inspired by Valentines Day, we did a couple shoot in the suburb of Parkhurst in Johannesburg. Johannesburg has such an energy and atmosphere that cannot be matched by any other city in South Africa. This beautiful couple are very special friends of mine and we had lots of fun walking the streets of Parkhurst (even though some people thought we were crazy being so dressed up on a Sunday and posing in the streets – but thank you Bridge and Rich for making this shoot so enjoyable for me!...
