Event – Doodle Session | Fordsburg

Art Work

I was invited to attend the last Doodle session for 1000 Drawings on Friday. I have so enjoyed attending the doodle sessions – I have met some really amazing people, explored parts of JHB that I have never been to and tapped into my artistic side. This session was held in Fordsberg out of the Bag Factory Studio. It was so lovely sitting in the late afternoon sunlight on a Friday afternoon having a drink and using a pencil to create a “masterpiece” on paper.

While I was walking around taking photographs – one of the gentleman had an incredible drawing of the man sitting in front of him and I exclaimed at how amazing it was. He then showed me that he had drawn one of Ross and I sitting on a bench drawing. I was in LOVE with this picture. It was so beautiful – understated and emotional – I cannot wait to buy it on Thursday!!! By the time I came back and asked him for a photograph with him (I wanted a photo with the artist of my soon to be favourite piece of art).

Thank you to everyone for making ALL the doodle sessions so wonderful and making each of them unique. I am so excited for Thursday night – please come and support. It will be held at Sci Bono in town from 6:30pm – entrance is R30 pp and every drawing costs R100.
