Food – Pecan Nut Balls

These bite size butter shortbread biscuits are to die for. They are very easy to make and are perfect for a tea party with your friends.



220g of Butter
2 Tablespoons of Castor Sugar
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Essence
2 Cups of Chopped Pecan Nuts
2 Cups of Flour
Icing Sugar


1. Preheat the oven to 150 degree
2. Cream the butter and sugar together til pale and creamy
3. Add the vanilla essence and beat well
4. Add the pecan nuts and flour and combine well
5. Roll into small balls and place on a greased baking tree
6. Bake for 30 minutes
7. Remove from the oven and while still hot dust with icing sugar (I put mine into a bowl of icing sugar to make sure they are fully coated)
