A week ago I spent some time in Nacala, Mozambique, as my husband is working there on an Engineering project.
Through word of mouth, Kwalala Lodge (a diving resort) requested my services in photographing their facilities. I was so excited. It is a beautiful location set north of town on the beautiful Nacala Bay. The sparkling blue ocean and vivid green palm trees are the perfect recipe for paradise. It is always lovely and warm, often with a cool breeze to keep you happy. Ideal!
The stone lodges are luxurious and comfortable – a home away from home. The beach is crystal clear with unbelievable snorkelling and diving right on their doorstep. The dive master, Stuart, was amazing at making me feel comfortable and safe on my first ever scuba dive.
Their food is so tasty. I chose to eat fish everyday – beautiful tuna steaks, fresh from the local fisherman, a literal “catch of the day”!
Kwalala Lodge also provide the opportunity to rent sea kayaks so that you can explore the bay on the water – click HERE to see the adventure we encountered while kayaking. If you are looking for a home away from home while on business or things to do in north-east Mozambique head straight to Kwalala Lodge. This is the time when humpback whales frequent the bay – beautiful majestic creatures.
A big thank you to my husband for advertising for me and to Emma and Stuart thank you so much for your hospitality and generosity.
