Couple – Luke and Alisje | Delta Park

Engagement Shoot, Nature, Fun Johannesburg, Photographer, Dandelions, Northern Suburbs

On Friday I did a beautiful photoshoot with Alisje and Luke in Delta Park. When I met them they were adamant that the photos were taken outside so that I captured them in nature. These high school sweethearts love being outdoors (Luke proposed in the middle of the Kruger Park while on a picnic – he had organised the ranger and everything!) These two told me they were shy in front of the camera… Please! Within 10 minutes of starting the photoshoot they were up the tree for photos 🙂 I loved it! We found some dandelions and had great fun blowing each one. I saw a beautiful quote the...

Wedding – Clinton and Angi | Moon and Sixpence

On Saturday I assisted Jeanette Verster at a wedding at Moon and Sixpence in Muldersdrift. Clinton and Angi are from South Africa but now live in the States. They got married last year in the States however they wanted to have a celebration with all their family and friends back home in South Africa. They combined their wedding celebrations with a dedication to their beautiful little boy. It was a lovely addition to have this gorgeous little boy part of the ceremony. It was pretty cold but a photographers dream with beautiful, moody, cloudy sky’s and gorgeous light. Angi and Clinton were so relaxed and they laughed and smiled all day...

Wedding – Andrew and Lauren at Buitengeluk

Laughing bridal couple on a couch, Palazzo Hotel, Fun Wedding photographs

The 9th of June 2012 –  the day Andrew and Lauren mark the beginning of their married live together. Even though it was the coldest weekend that Johannesburg had experienced the whole year, it didn’t dampen the spirits of the couple and their loved ones as they all still enjoyed  the celebration together. Despite the cold it was a beautiful intimate wedding to celebrate the start of their marriage. I loved their simple décor with each table being decorated with one type of flower. Lauren prepared for her day at the Palazzo Hotel, at Monte Casino, the ceremony was held at the Bryanston Catholic Church with the reception at Buitengeluk,...

Wedding – River Place | Hartbeespoort

River Place Hartbeespoort, River Wedding Venue, Johannesburg Wedding Photographer, Nelspruit Wedding Photographer, South African Wedding Photographer, Natural Outdoor wedding photo Johannesburg, Muldersdrift wedding photographer

A while back I 2nd shot with the lovely Elandre at River Place in Hartbeespoort. This venue is on the banks of the Hennops River which made for a lovely outdoor wedding for Edmund and Delaine. There were great little details including a spectacular cheese cake that a family member made for them, a green Jeep which brought the bride to the ceremony and fun gumboots. I thoroughly enjoy the day and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness. Thanks Elandre 🙂 I loved this part of the ceremony – the parents and grandparents blessed the couples rings individually. Edmund wrote, played and sang a song to his new...

Wedding – Rock the Frock

My friend from my last blog post (click here to see it) asked me to do a trash the dress. She had a beautiful dress that was so simple yet made her look incredible. I couldnt wait to do this shoot. We went to Delta Park where we paddled in the rivers, lay in the long grass, climbed the pilons to name a few. It is always amusing watching people stare at these kind of things – I suppose you not expecting to see a beautiful girl in her wedding dress walking in the park when you take your dogs for a walk. A man nearly fell off his bike...

Johannesburg Wedding Photographer, Johannesburg Wedding photographs, Trash the Dress Parkhurst, Northern Suburbs, Outdoor Beauty, Boob tube Dress

My friend from yesterdays shoot asked me to do a trash the dress for her. Of course I said YES – who wouldn’t when you have a beautiful, fun, spontaneous model to work with. We went to Delta Park (My all time favourite) and played in the rivers and lay in the grass. We laughed so much at all the attention we were getting – a man nearly fell his bike while riding past cause he was starring at us so much. When we were walking back to the car – an elderly man walked past us and said “you are Rocking your Frock” so this was not a Trash...

Wedding – Andre and Melani | Randpark Country Club

Melanie and Andre Wedding, Beautiful Johannesburg Wedding

This weekend I had the amazing opportunity of capturing Melanie and Andres wedding. When I first met Mel for coffee – I knew that this was a special lady, we got on really well and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding which I knew would be as fun, loving and wonderful as the couple are. Melanie and Andre have been dating for many years, however 3 years ago Melanie was involved in a terrible car accident. With lots of hard work, prayers and support from her loved ones she made a miraculous recovery. In light of this, the couple started supporting the Association for the Physically Disabled. Their wedding...

Sandton Wedding Photographer, Wedding Photographer, Awesome Wedding Photo, Love Wedding Photo

It’s funny how life often goes in circles – Nadine and I went to high school together and hadn’t seen each other since we left. That was all to change when she sent me an email asking me to shoot her wedding. I was so excited that I was going to see an old school friend again and I had the amazing opportunity to capture their special day. It was a morning wedding with a lovely tea held afterwards. Nadine  prepared for her big day at Waterfall Cottages in Craighall, a beautiful location in the suburbs. The ceremony was held at the Rosebank Union Church and after the vows we...

Wedding – Gustav and Tharien at Olive Mystery

I was very privilaged to second shoot for a very respected photographer Hannes Uys (www.hannesuysblog.com) at Olive Mystery in Bapsfontein. I learnt so much and I thank Hannes for teaching me all that he did. The colour scheme was purple and the beautiful bride wore 2 gorgeous dresses. It was a typical hot sunny South African Day – a beautiful day to get married. We did the couple shoot at a run down farm next door – they were amazing run down buildings that provided beautiful contrasting textures. Congratulations to Tharien and Gustav....
