Family – Little Gia | Delta Park

This family have such a special place in my heart. I have been honoured to do a shoot for them before (click here to see it) and last December we did another shoot. This time in Summer but still outdoors. It has been wonderful to see little Gia grow up so much and she really is too cute. Thank you for a wonderful morning Taryn and Myron. ...

This blog post is very late as Tess asked me to wait til I blogged it til they had had their wedding. These two are an amazing pair who have sacrificed and pledged everything to each other. They have an amazing bond and connection and it was such a blessing to capture some special moments with you both....

My beautiful friend is expecting her first little bundle in October and we cannot wait to meet him or her. It was the most wonderful afternoon spending time with you! You are so beautiful and I wish you lived closer so we could have days like that more often We cannot wait to meet baby Herb....

Family – Heydenrych | Delta Park

I love photographing special family friends. This family have been friends with my family for years and years! I remember as a little kid going to visit this family on a farm and running through beautiful green fields. Now many years later I was privileged enough to photograph these amazing people. We all know moms are special but Ellen and James just love their mom and we laughed the whole session. It was so uplifting to witness a family who are best friends. Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your beauty inside and out....

Couple – Gareth & Tamsyn | Delta Park

Tamsyn contacted me a while ago to do an engagement shoot for them to use for their Save the Dates (They are doing something AMAZING with them – I cannot wait to see it). We met at Delta Park and had such a wonderful time walking all over the place – they were such sports allowing me to use a lot of photos all over the park (which required lots of walking in between locations – Thank You). I loved how stark the surroundings of the park were (being winter) – bare trees, dead grass and crystal blue skies. Even though the environment was cold and stark, Gareth and Tams...

Maternity – Judit and Julius | Delta Park

Maternity, Judit and Julius, Johannesburg Photographer, Delta Park, Outdoor, Family, Pregnancy, Cosmos Field

Last weekend I met Julius and Judit at Delta Park to capture the end of Judits pregnancy. Judit hasn’t had an easy ride with their little boy with early labour a week or two ago, so needless to say I was worried I was going to do a maternity and newborn photoshoot ;-). Judit was amazing with being willing to sit down, lie in the flowers etc – so thank you for being an amazing model 🙂 I have always wanted to do a maternity shoot in the cosmos fields and this is exactly what we did. This couple are expecting their little baby boy very soon 🙂 What a...

Pink Velvet Cake, Picnic, Event Photographer, Johannesburg, Party, Birthday, Photo

I had a birthday picnic to celebrate my birthday yesterday. It started off as a lovely day – we were all lazing about and then the sky darkened. Eventually it looked too scary that we packed up and headed to the car 🙁 Just in time though. Wow as we drove out the parking lot the heavens opened and mother nature reminded us she is boss. There was SO much hail! Wow!!! My garden (the one I have been working so hard on) is just a bunch of sticks with no leaves....

Family – Scott, Clare and Zach | Delta Park

Family Photographer, Johannesburg, Delta Park, Natural, Christmas, Fun, Photo, Image

I love summer for many reasons, one them being its long evenings. When you don’t have to rush home to squeeze in a walk through the park before the dark and cold set in. And that’s exactly what I did yesterday with Scott, Clare and their gorgeous almost two year old Zach. We just took a casual amble along the top end of Delta Park, where there are the usual dog walkers, but also two lovely dams with ducks and other birds. Zach is an incredibly sharp young boy and was constantly wanting to play with the “puppies” and all the other fascinations the park had on offer, but it...

Hindu Couple, Photoshoot, Engagement, beautiful, Johannesburg, Sari, Formal, Tree, Forest, Photographer

I was kinda scared to open my eyes this morning in case there was still rain after yesterday! Luckily it was a BEAUTIFUL day and a perfect day for an engagement shoot in the park. To see the rest of it click here.  ...

Family – The Humphries | Delta Park

Delta Park, Family, Photoshoot, Blue Eyed Boy, Natural, Spontaneous, Johannesburg, Photographer

Yesterday afternoon I met Carolyn and Bruce and their beautiful little blue eyed boy Michael at Delta Park to take some family photos before Christmas. We were originally planning on taking the photos on Saturday but due to the rain we decided to reschedule and I am so glad that we did. The weather was glorious and definitely think the photos are much nicer being outside in the summer sun playing in the grass and on the colourful jungle gym. When we arrived we coincidentally bumped into Michaels’ favourite aunt and cousin who were great at distracting him and making him smile for photos 🙂 Thank you to all for a...

Couple – Deepack and Suvashna | Delta Park

Delta Park, Photoshoot, Hindu, Sari, Trees, Couple, Formal, Photo, Johannesburg, Photographer

Yesterday I had a lovely afternoon capturing a beautiful couple at Delta Park. Deepack and Suvashna are getting married in 3 weeks time at teh Hyatt in Rosebank and I am beyond excited to capture what will be a gorgeous, bright, cultural, wonderful event. I loved that Suvashna wore a vibrant sari and Deepack wore a very handsome suit – elegance in nature. Thank you to the both of you for being so wonderful and for a great afternoon. I am very excited to capture your special day in a few weeks time....

Couple – Luke and Alisje | Delta Park

Engagement Shoot, Nature, Fun Johannesburg, Photographer, Dandelions, Northern Suburbs

On Friday I did a beautiful photoshoot with Alisje and Luke in Delta Park. When I met them they were adamant that the photos were taken outside so that I captured them in nature. These high school sweethearts love being outdoors (Luke proposed in the middle of the Kruger Park while on a picnic – he had organised the ranger and everything!) These two told me they were shy in front of the camera… Please! Within 10 minutes of starting the photoshoot they were up the tree for photos 🙂 I loved it! We found some dandelions and had great fun blowing each one. I saw a beautiful quote the...

Couple – Russel and Vicky | Delta Park

Delta Park, Grafitti, Vicky, Russel, Couple Photographer, Rosebank, Rain Engagement Photoshoot, Umbrella, Love Birds, Johannesburg Photographer

Russel phoned me about a week ago asking if I would do a couple shoot for him and his girlfriend. It was a surprise birthday present for Vicky – so at 4:30 on Sunday afternoon I met Russel and Vicky at Delta Park – all Vicky had been told was that she must look pretty and she might get wet. When she met me she still had no idea what was going on until I told her that I was a photographer and we were doing a couple shoot. The smile that instantly appeared on her face was priceless – she was so excited! We managed to get some shots...

Family Shoot – Guilherme Family

Thandi won my competition that I held a few months back when I launched my new website. She has the most beautiful little 2 year old boy called Rogan (he is definitely going to be a heart breaker when he is older) and she used the shoot to capture her very special family. They wanted to do the family shoot in Autumn when the trees are full of bright warm colours – so we headed off to Delta Park in Parkhurst where there was a gorgeous big tree filled with red leaves. This shoot was great fun – throwing leaves and running around 🙂  I love how the photographs came out –...

Personal – Reflections in the Park | Delta Park

Yesterday Ross and I went for a walk in Delta Park (in case you haven’t noticed – I LOVE that park!) It was a beautiful evening – not a breath of wind. The lack of wind made beautiful reflections in the river. I found it quite funny how nature makes man made monstrosity’s looks pretty. Some of the photos hurt my brain as you don’t know which way is up?!   The mist as the sun goes down and the temperature drops...
