I had the wonderful opportunity of attending a press lunch at the beautiful Macaroon Shop in Greenside. I have been following this stationery business for the past three years wishing I customise everything they sell for my house and office, I am a stationery addict and the fact that I have the option of customising items to suite my need and style is right up there on my dream list. I envy their graphic designers ability to transform fonts and words into beautiful lettering and images.
This product launch and range was a collaboration with the incredibly talented Tracy Paul and Macaroon. I recognised this artists work straight away from cards sold in Exclusive Books, her images are incredibly detailed and precise. The creative team at Macaroon transformed Tracy’s gorgeous images into a variety of products including tote bags, journals, tags, cushions, gift cards and height charts to name a few. My favourite images of hers were the beach giraffe and the garden bunny – Tracy told me that it takes her a week to draw the bunnies. Amazing what two different creatives can do when they put their minds together
The collaboration with Tracy Paul was a first for Macaroon working with an artist who works in fine art (your pen and paintbrush type of art) which was very different from the digital artwork that Macaroon were accustomed to. It was a wonderful morning spent admiring the talented work from a bunch of creatives. Macaroons variety of products are inspiring and I wish I could buy everything.
I will be posting the shops full shoot later this week – watch this space.
