Harfield Village is a quaint and beautiful little suburb in the southern suburbs adjacent to Claremont. They have a lovely main road (2nd Avenue) with a bounty of fantastic restaurants and a few shops that make for a wonderful vibrant place to live. Once a year the suburb close their main street and hold the Harfield Carnival which helps raise money for the area to keep uplifting the local area. I bumped into Claire from Eventology at a coffee shop and she was organising the whole carnival. It sounded like it was going to be a great day out.
After a few days of rain and cold weather the powers that be stopped the rain and we had a perfect over cast day – the perfect weather to explore all the stands and eat lots of scrumptious food. There were a lot stalls selling everything from succulent plants to brownies to craft soda to clothes and second hand vintage items. Live music all over the place – I loved that there were many different bands but they never competed for sound or space. It was such a well organised event.
