On Sunday I was transported to Greece. I have never been there (it is on the bucket list) but I met a very special man Alessio and his big Greek Family at Platia in Emperors Palace. The restaurant is quintessential Greek. The paintings on the wall, the music playing and the smells coming from the kitchen. All it needed was a Greek Family and that is exactly who arrived – a vibrant, loving, passionate family who all came together to celebrate Alessio’s first holy communion.
I come from a very small family and seeing this family all together made me wish for a large boisterous family. It was incredible to see everyone chatting and laughing and sharing great food that came endlessly out of the kitchen. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your family and celebrations.
