Wedding – Francois & Megan | Morells Boutique

Two weeks ago two beautiful people said I do to each other in the gorgeous venue at Morells Boutique. Megan was one of the most beautiful brides I had ever seen – her smile spoke to my soul and her enthusiasm and personality shone through her.Francois and Megan met on holiday and fell in love. Their wedding was all about laughter, love and togetherness. During the reception Megan’s good friend Tanya sang a beautiful song to the couple. Francois’ brother Stephan who had flown all the way from Australia played and sang two songs to the two of them – it was so heart felt and special to hear these...

Wedding – Mpho & Tazna | Maboneng

Tazna and Mpho got married at the court in Randburg and met me in Maboneng to capture the two of them on their Wedding Day. It was a freezing day but Tazna looked exquisite in her lace and tulle dress. She was beaming with love for her new handsome husband Mpho. It was so wonderful to capture their Intimate Wedding day with just the two of them. They headed off that afternoon on honeymoon. Thank you Tazna and Mpho for a wonderful afternoon....

Wedding – Robert and Jessica | Nelspruit

On the 6th of September Jessica and Robert committed themselves to each other in a beautiful wedding held at Umbali in Nelspruit. After their enagement shoot in Maboneng (click here to see the photos) I knew that this wedding was going to be one filled with beautiful details and love. Jess put so much effort into all the decor which was mint and pink. She wrapped vintage books in beautiful ribbons, flowers in old glass vases and a cake table filled with a variety of cupcakes and a cake that was so simple yet one of the most beautiful ones I had ever seen – a photographers dream. Jess could...

Wedding – Martin & Lorene | Makiti

When you photograph a couple you are allowed to capture a bond between two people that not everyone gets the honor of seeing – you see the light in their eyes when they look at each other, the smile that never leaves their lips and the inability to be apart. This was very true for this beautiful couple. Martin and Lorene met each other through very good friends of mine and as they say – the rest is history. Last year Lorene persuaded Martin to do a Photoshoot with me in February at Emmarentia (click here to see the photos) – it was a Photoshoot filled with laughter – Martin...

Wedding – Donald & Tracy | Johannesburg Country Club

On a cold Saturday Afternoon two incredible people said I do to spending their lives together. Tracy and Donald met through mutual friends of their running clubs and have been together ever since. These two both ran comrades this year with Donald getting his green number. They got married at St.Giles Church in Orchards with the reception being held at the Johannesburg Country Club in Auckland Park. The venue was magnificent – excuding class and sophistication. Tracy’s colour scheme was Navy and white and it complimented the venue perfectly. Even though it was really cold everyone were stars “acting warm” for the photos but Grace who bought the sherry was...

Wedding – Martin and Jennifer | Shepstone Gardens

Weddings are always filled with love, smiles and happiness. Martin and Jens’ wedding at Shepstone Gardens in Houghton was filled with all this and more. It was a union of two countries, two cultures and two incredibly amazing people. I loved how Martins smile is contagious  and how his eyes light up with he lays eyes on Jen (besides those glasses of Martins are the best accessories). On her wedding day Jen was super relaxed and was really soaked in the whole day spending time with her bridesmaids that had flown in from all over the world. At the reception after a while I put my camera down and listened...

Wedding – Martin and Karen | Red Ivory Lodge

Karen and Martin got married at the beautiful Red Ivory Lodge out in the Hartbeespoort. The beautiful weather and stylish venue made for the perfect venue and location for Martin and Karen to say I do. Karen is a beautiful woman with eyes to die for – her dress was beautiful with lace detail and a low back. I loved her “something borrowed” being her grandmothers Irish clasp – holding up her family heritage. Their colours were yellow and gray which complimented the serene skyline of green and blue bushveld. Thank you to Martin and Karen and both families for allowing us to be apart of such a special day!...

Wedding – Marc and Sharon | Kruger Park

Marc and Sharons wedding has to be one of my favourites to date. When they asked me to photograph their wedding I was so excited – they were getting married in the Kruger Park. I grew up going on holiday to the Kruger Park with my family and it is the most beautiful piece of earth – mother nature in its finest form. Sharon and Marc were so relaxed they were having a holiday with their closest friends and family and they were getting married (the best reason for a celebration). The day before the wedding it was pouring with rain but on the Saturday it was the most perfect...

Wedding – Dean and Ronelle | Hakuna Matata

Ronelle is the most amazing lady I first met her 7 years ago – she is my beautician and keeps me in tip top shape. When she asked me to photograph her wedding I was over the moon. I knew it was going to be exquisite – she is breath takingly beautiful and I knew the colour and culture of their union would be a photographers dream. The ceremony was held at the temple in Midrand. I thought like I had walked into India – the beautiful bright vibrant colours and smell of incense burning was captivating. All the ladies in their beautiful beaded and embroided sari’s made for a...

Wedding – Gary and Julia | Victoria Falls

2 Weeks we had the privilege of travelling to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to capture Gary and Julia’s beautiful wedding. Julia grew up in Zimbabwe and you could not have picked a more beautiful place to get married. The ceremony and reception were held at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge which overlooks a large water hole where we saw hyenas, elephants and water buck having a drink – this is Africa. Gary even had a large Warthog pay him a visit while he was getting ready. Gary and his groomsmen wore the McFarlane kilt in honour of Gary’s surname – they really looked smart with all their kit on. Julia was...

Wedding – Harshil and Sarah | Kavinga

Two weeks ago I had the wonderful opportunity of capturing my dear friend Sarah marry her prince Harshil at Kavinga Wedding Venue in Nelspruit. Sarah is a very special friend of mine – we went to school together but its only when we lived and studied together at WITS that we became really close. Sarah has always been the most bubbly, beautiful, caring, kind, faithful person you could ever wish to find and she has found a man who is her soul mate, who is supportive, caring, loving and wonderful and I am so happy for her. The weather played along for us and the rain stayed away so we...

Wedding – Jaco and Madelein | River Place

Last weekend we had the privilege of capturing Jaco and Madeleins wedding at River Place near Hartbeespoort. After all the rain we had last week Saturday was the most beautiful day – blue sky and very hot. A few days before the wedding with all the rain that Gauteng experienced the deck of the venue had been washed away. As you can imagine this was fairly stressful for Jaco and Madelein, however the venue made a plan and they got married at the location down the river. It was the perfect venue – the deck that overlooked the river, hanging white lanterns, ribbons blowing in the breeze attached in the...

Wedding – Lindiwe and Lucas | Villa Tuscana

Bridal Portrait

My last wedding and shoot in December was with the wonderful Lindiwe and Lucas and their family and friends. It was a beautiful African summers day – blue skies and sunshine. The ceremony was held in the gardens of Villa Tuscana. Lindiwe had organised white and blue parasols for the women and it created such a beautiful look with all these umbrellas in the crowd. I loved the singing and celebration that occured the whole day – it was so festive. My favourite part of the wedding was the dancing, I loved how Lindiwe and Lucas were danced into the reception area with a choreographed hip hop dance. It was...

Wedding – Phumelele and Zoli | Midrand

Last week I had the great honour of meeting Phumi and Zoli again. You may recognise them from the family shoot we did at the beginning of the year (click here to see their shoot). It was so lovely to see the whole family again. Phumi and Zoli had a small, intimate wedding at the wonderful Ga Rouge restaurant in Centurion. Phumi had asked her guests to wear white, cream and/or brown. It was a photographers dream seeing these neutral colours everywhere. The two little boys wore beautiful linen shirts and pants (not so easy to keep clean). Even though it rained on their Wedding day it was a joyful...

Wedding – Michael and Bianca | Kyalami

Bride and Groom sunset Photos

2 weeks ago I had the pleasure of assisting Jeanette with a beautiful wedding in Kyalami. The wedding was held at a close friend of the couples house in Kyalami and the decor was done by Otto De Jager. It was an equisite wedding to say the least. Michael and Bianca had travelled the world ending with a years road trip from Cairo to Johannesburg. What an amazing adventure (I am very jealous).  The weather held up its end of the deal and provided us with a beautiful sunset and no rain....
